Getting to Krabi and the islands nearby
Krabi has an International Airport — although it is quite small, and gets busy during the primary season from November until the end of April. From the airport, it is only about 9km to Krabi town centre where you can catch the ferry to nearly any island in the Andaman sea! There are taxi and shuttle buses that do this route very often. There are several ports in Krabi that are used to get around, but the main one in Krabi town is the Klong Jiad Pier, just 5 minutes walk from the relaxing river park Thara. The direct connection via speed boat from Klong Jiad Pier to Ton Sai Pier on Phi Phi Island is only 45 minutes. A ferry to Phi Phi takes about 1h and 30min.
