Pickup and Dropoff

How does shuttle service work?

You specify where you want to be picked up and based on your address shuttle bus will pick you up roughly two hours before your speedboat’s departure. Please be ready to leave at the moment notice. You can wait in your hotel room or the lobby. The driver asks typically for you at the reception using your name from the reservation form.

Do you do pickup at the airport?

Most of the fast boat companies that we offer do pick up and drop off at Denpasar international airport DPS. Very often, the meeting point is in the commercial zone by the terminal for domestic flights, which is just next door to the international terminal (5 minutes walk). Make sure you add phone number and flight details when booking a ticket. Also, you should count with enough time to catch a boat. Example: Your plane lands at 8:00 it may be enough time to get pick up is at 9:30 for a boat that departs at 11:30 (the pick up is at least 2hours before the boat departures). We do not have any responsibility for a possible delay of the provided transport and also for any missed flights. The burden lays on the company you chose in a booking process. (generally: lower the price of the company is lower the level of responsibility and reliability is).

How pickup at pickup points works?

You should get to the pickup point which is closest to your place and be there roughly two hours before (depends on a pickup point) your boat’s departure as well as the chosen harbor. If you want to be picked up, you should specify the pickup point address in the pickup address. And put there your phone number, in case of an emergency.

Can I add pick up / drop off after I booked?

Sure, you can add the transfer request on your booking log or simply contact us on Facebook or WhatsApp. Please notice, the FB companies have cut off time on 6pm local Bali time (Western Australian Time) on a day before departure date.

Can I request hotel transfer on Gilis / Lombok/ Nusa islands ?

Not really, most Fast Boat companies only provide transfer on Bali. Rocky fast boat provides transfer on Nusa Lembongan and Bali.

How to notice the shuttle service car?

Most of the cars are minibus with the name of a fast boat company on the side body or back window. Please wait in the place mentioned in the pick-up confirmation mail. Provide your WhatsApp number when making the reservation so the driver can reach for you If struggling to find you. If you request drop off service, please follow the ground staff instruction in harbor, they will show your vehicle. Please ignore any false information given by a freelance driver that will try to distract you from following your fast boat company instructions.

Payment

Can I get a discount?

You can have a discount if you book a return ticket for 4 or more travelers, ping us on Facebook or WA, and we will give you a 10% discount promo code.

Can I pay by cash instead of credit card/PayPal?

Unfortunately, no. We only accept Credit card or PayPal payment.

How does it work when I want a refund?

There is no problem to refund. We have a cancelation policy that applies to all the reservations. If you decide to cancel two weeks before departure, it is a 100% refund. After two weeks you will get 50% back, and two days before departure, there is no refund. Please note that we charge a handling and transaction fee that applies to all refunds. It is always good to consider rescheduling of your trip before you decide to cancel. If you are not satisfied with the level of services, please contact us. We can review your case individually and consider refunding your ticket fully (or at least a part). For example, if you miss the boat due to some error of the transportation company. We always try to resolve any issues to the satisfaction of our customers. The handling fee is charged in the case of cancelation due to officially announced bad conditions of weather under which fast boat companies are not allowed to provide services. 

How do I claim a cancellation refund?

You can cancel by yourself in the section "My Tickets" (based on our cancellation policy), or you can contact us via email, Facebook, a WhatsApp to request a cancellation of your booking and processing a refund. If you paid with CC, you could expect the money back to your account in within 3working days, while payment by PayPal can arrive faster.

Luggage

Do you have exclusive class?

That would be BlueWater express or Gili Getaway. They are expensive but very exclusive. Their service is better than others. And also the price is higher

What is the luggage allowance when booking with you?

Anything up to 30 kilos is allowed per person. Big suitcases or surfboards included. The boats have luggage compartments, so your luggage stays safe and secure during the boat ride. 

Traveling with Baby

Do we need an extra ticket for our baby?

It depends how old is your baby, two years and younger are free of charge. However, traveling with a baby is not recommended. The sea can get quite choppy, and it might get uncomfortable for a baby. In case you want to travel to Gili, pick the largest boat possible – In this case we recommend EkaJaya.  And also it's convenient to go from Padang Bai, rather than a port on the south of Bali because boat ride is shorter. An alternative is to fly to Lombok and then a super short boat ride to Gilis.

Island hopping

Is it possible to travel between Gili Trawangan/Gilli Meno/Gili Air with one ticket?

If you want to travel around all the Gili Islands, the best way is to buy single trips at the local harbors. There is a ticket office for a small public boat between the islands. Then just hop on the first boat available. It takes a couple of minutes and doesn’t cost much. We don’t organize tickets for those transfers.

Itinerary

How long does it usually take to get to Gili Trawangan/Gili Meno/Gili Air from Bali?

It depends on from which port you are going. If you are going from Padang Bai, it's short, only 1 hour and 30 minutes. If you choose a port in the south of Bali (Sanur, Benoa, Serangan), it usually takes 3 hours. Some ships also stop by in Padang Bai for more passengers. Shortest is the ride from Amed (Noth of Bali) it is just an hour. 

When should we get ready?

If you are going to the port by your transportation, please have in mind traffic in Bali is very slow and sometimes there might be a traffic jam, because of the ceremony. So always have reasonable time reserve. If you want to use pickup by shuttle bus, they usually pick you up at least 2 hours before boat departures. 

Should I print the e-ticket to check in?

You can show your e-tickets on your mobile phone or other devices to be exchanged with printed FB tickets when you check-in

Changes

Is it possible to change name or dates of the reservation?

Changing names is fine even last minute before the trip. Changing dates, however, can be more complicated, especially during the high season. Most of our partnering companies are very flexible and do not mind changing the date of the travel, even two or one-day prior departure. It is always better to make the change as soon as possible to avoid complications. If your departure is in less than seven days, we cannot guarantee free date change. But from our experience, there is always a way to make it free. Contact our customer support. 

Is it possible to reschedule to different Fast Boat company (FB)?

Sure. If you want to reschedule your booking with different FB, simply send your request on your booking log or via Facebook or WhatsApp. There will be a price match for the new trip you requested. If the new price is lower, we will refund your extra payment bigger then 6 euros; But if the new price is more expensive, we will send you a payment request via PayPal.

What is the bad weather warning?

The bad weather warning is an authority statement provided by the master of the harbor. It prohibits fast boat companies (FB) from traveling across the sea to avoid any risk caused by bad weather and high tide. It is binding all FB on specific time and area (usually Bali Strait). On that situation, if you’ve booked with us, you can either reschedule your trip, take optional trip arranged by FB, or request a cancellation.

When I receive e-ticket, does it mean my booking confirmed?

No, after you receive the e-ticket the Fast Boat company should react fast to confirm or reject your booking. Once they do so the status of your order changes and you are informed by email also about the time of your pick up in case you requested hotel transfer.
